Almost 60+ years from today when Subbayya hotel(A.C) was started as a mess with only 10 people in the year 1950 for only 0.50 paisa, at East Godavari district Kakinada by SHRI SUBBYYA GARU who was migrated from Prakasam district to East Godavari after Independence. Subbayya gari hotel was originally called as Sri Krishna Villas. In the beginning, Gunupudi Subba Roa started the hotel in a small hut and cooked food on low wooden stools/seats (in a traditional language called Peetam). With his hard work towards the work made the hotel so famous that it is known worldwide.

In 1955 it expanded as a Subbayya gari hotel at East Godavari district capital Kakinada and now it is a famous vegetarian restaurant in Godavari District.

A quiet place to have an authentic Andhra food. It reminded you of your grandmother’s curries. The food they prepare is out of love and serve with respect. It tastes so delicious that anyone can easily love the taste and Ambience along with it is great.

If you are a food lover then you should definitely visit it for sure but in one condition and that is you should visit with an empty stomach for having a meal. Because they keep on providing you with the plenty of varieties of curries, pickles, chutneys mixed with rice to taste.

If you are seeing for an authentic Andhra vegetarian hotel then this is the best place to visit ad if you are planning to visit there on a weekend, then be prepared to stand in a queue for half an hour. But if you’re a fan of South Indian food, then it’s worth waiting for it.
