Botiwalla: A New Chapter In Indian Street Food.
Botiwalla is a brand new chapter in Indian street food all the way from the team behind Chai Pani.
Botiwalla is another food point at Ponce’s City Market Central Food. It’s another venture from the team of Chai Pani. It was opened for the eaters of Atlanta in the year of 2016 to explore the real taste of street food of India.
Botiwalla is Chef Meherwan Irani’s Venture. Meherwan love towards kababs and Irani Cafes bought this cafe to us. Let’s know little more about his Irani Cafe love. Meherwan’s great grandfather Sheriar was an eponymous immigrants. In early 20th, Parsis – Zoroastrians that emigrated from Persia to India ran tea and kabab houses that is known with the name of Irani Cafe. At Meherwan’s hometown of Ahmednagar, India, his grandfather owned a Canteen named Sarosh Canteen, which is the only Irani Cafe in the town, with the perfect Irani tea and serving a unique style of Parsi cuisine making there way to one of the best cafe in India. This love drives him to open the Botiwalla. The menu of Botiwalla is very interesting and the inspiration is one his life long love to Kebab and Irani cafe and another is late night street food scene in India. Street Food in India have vast number of varieties like chaat, bhel puri, pani puri etc etc but here at Botiwalla you will find grilled meats, flat breads, fresh herbs, and wraps.
When it comes to the ambience, the look and feel of the cafe is just like the old Irani Cafe down there at India. With Botiwalla, the people will see the “Cool” side of India and Indian food.
