First Hanging Restaurant at Kolkata
Kolkatta is already very famous for its aroma and taste but to excite foodie and culture to Kolkata, it now has it’s very first hanging restaurant after 160-ft high sky dining restaurant in Bengaluru which shows the development of unique themes in the country. Biswa Bangla Gate, the Gateway is known as the city of joy now has a restaurant that will host the city’s foodies at the city’s first-ever hanging restaurant which will have the 360-degree views of the city.
The hight of the restaurant is 55-meter at Rabindra Tirtha in New Town and is in the Oval shape. This project was started in March 2017 and it took complete 20 months which a budget of 25 crores. For the construction, they have to use the steel and glass that give a unique wonder to the city and are designed in such a way that it can resist all types of vulnerabilities(natural vulnerabilities). This cafe was inaugurated by the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister, West Bengal, Mr. Firhad Hakim. With the total seating capacity of 72 people, it was first open for 50 people seating arrangements.
This unique cafe is open between 7 pm to 10 pm for the general public to have fine dining that this hanging restaurant. It also includes free WiFi and a different feeling with battery-powered candles to serve as a prop for a romantic candlelight dinner for couples. Apart from dining, you can also visit the restaurant for viewing the viewing gallery which will be open from 12 pm to 5 pm which costs Rs 100 per person.
You can purchase the ticket online on Bookmyshow.com or Hidco website and can stay up to 1 hour during your visit to the restaurant. For safety measures, they allow up to 100 people at a time.
